Covid 19 - Information
With the recent changes regarding COVID 19 last week, on 19 October 2022, we received the following advice regarding what this now means for schools.
Where a positive COVID-19 test result is returned, it is recommended that staff and students stay home until symptoms have resolved
- Continue to register RAT results via WA Health & the School COVID-19 Reporting Portal.
Isolation for close contacts is no longer mandated; close contacts are encouraged to test daily for 5 days and only attend school following a negative RAT result.
- Close contacts may choose to wear a mask
- High risk settings should be avoided
The school has a large supply of nasal RAT’s free for collection by families. These can be collected from the office.
The following mitigation strategies are still in place.
Staff, students and visitors to a school may choose to wear a mask
Continued promotion of personal hygiene practices encouraged including effective washing of hands and regular use of sanitisers.
Schools to include use of disinfectant and detergent on high contact surface areas.
Schools are to continue strong ventilation practices
We appreciate your willingness and assistance regarding the changes and what is still expected of schools. If you have any questions with the above information, please feel free to contact the school office for further clarification. We will do our best to answer any questions raised from this communication.
